Bare Feet Retreat

We loved our stay at Barefoot Retreat. The place was well appointed, comfortable, and very clean. The location and security were excellent. However, we were disappointed with the process followed by LJ Hooker...we felt that a $500 deposit/bond was exorbitant given we had already paid in full for our stay. We felt that emails and calls to us to obtain credit card details for this deposit/ bond in the weeks prior to our stay were unnecessary and unreasonable.

Lovely location looking directly onto the river. Easy walk to the beach and township. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Steve was so very helpful as a host.

Everything about this property is just lovely. The best position for privacy and also people watching as they walk or ride by. The closeness to the creek is the perfect backdrop.

The week spent in Kingscliff just made us want to stay longer. The apartment well designed, very clean and comfortable. It is well located on the creek (great for swimming) and so close to the surf and town center (good choice of great restaurants and coffee places). Our host was very helpful and friendly, made for a pleasant stay. Dealing with the booking agent was smooth and staff friendly and helpful.

Just spent 10 days at Bare Feet Retreat Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in October. Throughly enjoyed our stay. The whole process from getting the keys from the real estate to Steve showing us the unit when we arrived was excellent ( could not fault).The unit was very comfortable with spectacular views of the creek.( we had some chocolates welcoming us on arrival).The bed was super comfy and the unit was very clean. The complimentary bikes and canoes were are a big hit. Highly Recommend

We stayed at Bare Feet Retreat for 5 nights in April and loved every minute of it. The entire process was seamless from collecting the keys to check-in and check-out, with the caretaker (who lives above) being available and responsive for any of our questions, as well as being a genuinely lovely person too (we even arrived to a chocolate bunny on the coffee table as our stay fell over Easter!) The accommodation itself is incredible, right on the river front and only a 5 minute walk along the paved esplanade into all restaurants/cafes and Kingscliff Beach. We had rain our entire stay but we were as comfortable at this accommodation as we would have been in our own home - everything is super clean, comfortable, stylish and has all amenities you could want: Netflix, BBQ, coffee machine, all cooking/cleaning/washing materials, comfortable bed, air con, WIFI, huge bathroom and MASSIVE walk in wardrobe. The accommodation even came with complimentary use of push bikes, canoes, fishing rods etc. Literally could not fault our stay and will absolutely be recommending to our friends and family (and stay again ourselves)!
